Sam is a scrappy guard who checked in off the bench and was quickly making an impact on both ends. He pressures the ball hard, fights to get over screens, and isn’t afraid to mix it up for rebounds among bigger players. That effort saw him sneak in for an offensive rebound and quickly go back up for two points early in the first half. He capped off the first half with an impressive spin move into a contested left handed finish.
