Nosakhare, an elite athlete out of Putnam Science Academy, put a bow on his time with Team New England this spring by recently accepting an offer to play at Quinnipiac University. An elite athlete on the interior, he utilizes a plus wingspan to be a high level rim protector, while showing off one of the better motors on the glass in the region. With his agility and mobility, he has the ability to guard in space as well as in the paint. Offensivey, he’s relentless when attacking the rim, dunks everything he can, and does a nice job of crashing the offensive glass.

An athletic big who makes plays on both ends of the floor. He finds different ways to finish around the basket. He has a stout frame which allows him to absorb contact and hold his own against likewise bigs. Sam has great touch and doesn’t try to overstep himself on offensive end. He can provided a good spark with the way he plays and gives off great energy. He continues to get better with time and would be a good pick up at the mid major level.

Nosakhare made an instant impact at the Tilton School this winter, proving to be a force in the paint on both ends of the floor. A quick twitch athlete, Nosakhare proved to be a high level shot blocker, while also showing the lateral mobility to potentially be a switchable defender in ball screen actions. He’s the type of rim protector that contests everything in the paint; there’s few interior scoring opportunities in a game that he doesn’t block or alter. Offensively, he’s primarily a catch and finish guy out of the dunker spot right now, finishing with authority any chance he gets. He did show the ability to drive off one bounce this winter, and I’d expect him to make strides with his offensive game this spring and summer.
