Hayelom brought an energy and excitement that was impossible to miss, but it was his feel for the game that really caught our attention. He looked smooth with the ball, showing a good understanding of when to create his own shot and when to make the extra pass. Away from the ball he stayed active and consistently moved to keep defenders engaged and open up opportunities. Hayelom simply looked like a smart, confident player who understood what the game was giving him. The Expo left us excited to see him take that ability into the upcoming season and continue to excel moving forward

Hayelom showed his versatility at The Expo as both a facilitator and a defender. Running the point he displayed court vision and consistently found open teammates and made smart decisions in transition. Off the ball he was always moving, reading defenses and putting himself in positions to create scoring opportunities or make plays for others. His poise and awareness allowed him to control the tempo and keep the offense flowing smoothly. Defensively his active hands and anticipation enabled him to stay in front of his man and disrupt passing lanes effectively. He competes with energy on every possession, showing that he can impact the game on both ends. With his combination of running point and defensive effort, Hayelom proved to be a reliable two way guard who consistently influences the flow of the game
