About Samari

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A physical forward who can stretch the floor with a confident mid-range and three-point shot, while also being a bruiser in the paint when attacking the rim or posting up. Brings high energy on defense, consistently competing for rebounds, creating deflections, and generating steals to fuel transition opportunities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Never content with where I am. I am always pushing to improve, evolve, and elevate my game on both the football field and the basketball court. I take pride in being coachable, putting in extra work, and constantly seeking ways to get better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Gifted & Talented Program (GT) participant — consistently identified for advanced academic performance. Active member of Sigma Beta Club, demonstrating leadership, service, and character outside of school. A/B Honor Roll — committed to strong academic achievement while balancing dual-sport athletics. Crowned 2025 Home-Coming Prince for my High School. Given to the top Freshman.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Extremely vocal and passionate on both the football field and basketball court. A natural motivator who brings energy, encourages teammates, and sets the tone through communication and effort.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I hold myself to a high standard, which can be both a strength and a challenge. This drives me to keep improving. Stepping into a freshman role this year with increased expectations from coaches has helped me lock in, embrace responsibility, and give my absolute best every day.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college that embraces me for who I am and is just as passionate about the game as I am. I’m committed to being successful both on the court/field and in the classroom, and I’m looking for a program that helps me grow as an athlete, a student, and a leader.
