Expert Analysis
Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the more naturally talented forwards in southwest Ohio, Imade has the ability to handle the ball, spread the floor and flashes upside as an all around offensive player. On a Sycamore squad that’s hovering around .500 Imade has had some big individual performances this season. With 28 points Vs Mason and 30 points Vs Milford, Imade has shown the ability to take over games. His 86% mark from the charity stripe also shows some potential shooting touch. Still a ways away physically from competing at the Division I level, Imade will have to be patient with his development.

Imade is a prospect who still shows more flashes than production but with his movement ability on the perimeter, a smooth looking jumper and physical tools with his height and length, there’s reason to believe in him as a long-term prospect. After a strong season opening performance at the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic against a school out of Florida, Imade has struggled a bit with the more physical and slower tempo GMC teams. As Imade continues to mature physically and add strength, I think he’ll be even tougher to stop with his outside/inside versatility.

A prospect who has continued to grow literally and figuratively over the past year, Imade is becoming more confident around the basket by asserting his size and length. Always been able to space the floor when left open from 3, I thought Imade did a nicer job of ducking in to receive entry passes for looks in the paint. A few times Imade hit a baseline cut for an easy layup in this game. Also able to put it on the floor and attack a closeout, Imade is a versatile offensive player. If Imade continues to show this upward trajectory, he’ll be a stock riser as a senior.

A versatile prospect, Imade has done well in a secondary role for Sycamore this season. Second on the team in scoring, rebounding and field goal %, Imade has found his niche role on an Aviators team looking to capture a district title. I like how Imade can defend on the perimeter and provide rebounding and size in the paint. He also started to flash the 3-point shot, knocking down 32% of his 50 attempts this season. If he can continue to become a more reliable option off the catch, it will help the floor spacing of Sycamore’s offense. Fans can catch Imade in a district final on Sunday at Xavier University.

, the Aviators have one of the top frontcourts in southwest Ohio. With double digit scoring performances in his last three games, it seems like Imade is turning the corner as we head into the second half of the season with Sycamore pushing for a conference and district title run.

Imade had to wait his turn behind a senior laden squad for Sycamore this past year but is set to break out as a Junior. Imade has grown next to Kayser for Midwest Basketball Club Gold 16 U this spring with his impressive physical tools, ability to knock down an open jumper and high motor. All of these skills are things that small college programs look for in a forward and I expect Imade to be a priority for those schools next spring/summer.
