The Titans took care of business against Madison and Almas went for 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists .
Sam is one of the more individually gifted and aggressive scorers in the state and he proved it by scoring 30 points (12-27) (4-11 3FG) in 28:37 of playing time. He scored from all over the court in many different fashions.
WHY? He made a difference with his athleticism and strength. Almas produced on the offensive glass and he scored points on those second chance opportunities. He has really added on the muscle since I saw him last. Almas must be putting in the time in the weight room. He will be one of the top athletes in class A. Sam made a difference with his energy and how he sprinted the floor. When he wanted, it seemed like he got to the rim. The athletic Titan was constantly breaking down the defense via the bounce.
WHY? I have watched Almas in the past and he is a super athlete. I did not get a chance to see Sam play this summer, so I am eager to see him hoop at the Expo. Look for Sam to be a playmaker on both ends of the floor and for him to put down some impressive SLAMs. I want to see where he gets his points from, how his shooting stroke looks, and how polished his skills have become. I am also interested to see how much bigger/taller Almas is compared to the last time I watched him. You should expect Sam to be one of the most dynamic players at the Expo.
Sam will easily be one of the top athletes in class A and the Titans are always a quality team. Tea will pick up plenty of wins, Almas will have productive stats, and he will not be short of highlight reel plays. Sam had an excellent offseason, so you should expect a more polished and skilled player this winter. Almas also plays his heart out on the floor and he makes plenty of game-changing plays when the ball is not in his hands. He is an all-around dude that is ready for a monster senior campaign.
He is gamechanger because of his length and mobile playmaking ability. Sam is a super-star athlete that had a fantastic junior season. Almas is a top-notch player and a DUDE on both ends. Tea played a difficult schedule and Almas always shined. Big things are ahead for Mr. Almas!
12-4 record on the season. The Titans have impressive wins over Dell Rapids, De Smet, and Western Christian (IA). Almas is the leading scorer for the Titans at 14.4 ppg and he shoots 50 FG%. He also averages 4.6 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.8 spg. Almas guards the opposing team’s best scorer in every contest. He is super explosive and opposing team’s have to game plan for him. Almas is an exciting player to watch on the hardwood. It is easy to say, Sam is a tough two-way player.
