He has a ton of varsity experience, and it shows in the big moment because he is operating as if it were practice. He has a smart IG for the game. Knows when to attack and create for himself or teammates. He is a knockdown shooter with unlimited range. When he gets hot from beyond the arc, it’s extremely fun to watch. He is a multiport athlete with a great competitive edge to his game.

Routson is a great senior point guard. He is a seasoned player who has played many years at the varsity level. He is a short and stocky guard who does not get bumped off his spot. He put a ton of pressure on the rim. He would get to the paint and score, or kick it to others. He was great in transition. He can also shoot the lights out. Routson is a vocal leader on the court, and his teammates feed off him and his confidence.

The smallest player on our list, Routson is a tough point guard who sets the table impressively for his teammates. Averaging over 6 assists per game as a Junior doesn’t surprise me at all after catching a Genoa game during the winter. A quick guard with the ability to score on floaters to avoid shot blockers, Routson averaged 13 PPG as well as a Junior. With Routson and star forward Ryan Plantz Ryan Plantz 6'7" | PF Genoa | 2026 State OH heading into their senior seasons, expectations should be high for a Genoa squad that is coming off a 19 win season in 2024-25.
