An important piece and likely ex-factor for the Pride will be sharpshooter Ryan Finerghty Ryan Finerghty 6'0" | SG/PG Leesville Road | 2028 NC who had an excellent year last season. He was first team all-conference behind his 11 points per game which included 65 made threes. Ryan is an elite off ball mover which frustrates defenders as he’s never just in one spot. He blends that off-ball movement with excellent footwork and balance when coming off screens. Regardless of the action being run, Ryan is typically always on time and consistent with his mechanics.

This summer, Ryan has improved his game drastically. Not only has his shooting continued to stay a high level, but he’s made strides in putting the ball on the floor more. At ECI team camp this summer, he had it all going from the shooting to the at the rim finishing. Along with the offense, Ryan doesn’t cost his team with mistakes and constantly sacrifices his body for charges or diving for loose balls. This year he’ll benefit from more spacing and see a ton of wide open looks on dribble drives by Nylan and Travis. If Ryan continues his play from the summer, he could be the ex-factor in a long playoff run for Leesville.

Finerghty did a really nice job for DB Elite 16u this past weekend serving as a high level shot maker and a secondary playmaker for this group. He’s coming off of a really solid sophomore season at Leesville Road where he averaged double figures and played a key complimentary role alongside their other pieces. He’s adjusted to higher usage with DB Elite and is proving to be a vital piece to their success. Finerghty stays calm, has an excellent pump fake and footwork to free himself up for more space, and stays within himself at all times. He showed the ability to operate out of ball screens as well with his active hands highlighting his game on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a lock to land amongst the ranked at next update as he continues to make his case as a next level prospect.
