Winning co-offensive player of the year and defensive player of the year in the CMAC, nobody impacted the game more on both ends of the floor than Mills. Undersized for what he does on the court, Mills has a motor that NEVER stops and is one of the best athletes in Ohio. For coaches that want to full-court press and get up and down the court, Mills is a perfect fit for those systems. JUCO programs should be making Mills a priority among available Ohio prospects.

A big time athlete, few players have the strength and explosiveness that Mills has when attacking the basket. After a really productive Junior season for Woodward, I expect Mills to be near the top of CMAC scoring leaders once again after finishing third last year.

One of the best athletes in the state, Mills can fly and has the speed and quickness to get where he needs to on the court. Currently second in the CMAC in scoring at 22.1 PPG, Mills is shooting 60% from the field. I’ve been impressed with the impact Mills has had on winning for his team, making a big impact in key games.

The unquestioned top performer of the day, Mills once again dominated and proved why he’s one of the best players in Cincinnati. Mills is an exceptional athlete and started the game with an alley-oop slam dunk that brought tons of energy to his team. Not known as a shooter, Mills only had made a couple 3’s all season before this game but knocked down two in the first half of this one. If you allow Mills to attack in a straight line he will crush your defense and Harvest Prep didn’t do a good enough job forcing him to change direction or use a counter move. The exclamation point of the game came when Mills blocked a 3-pointer grabbed the loose ball and dunked in traffic past a Harvest Prep defender.

Mills was a warrior for Woodward, willing them to victory. Mills plays with impressive tenacity and refused to lose in crunch time. With his physical tools, I’d be really intrigued by Mills on the gridiron, with his aggressiveness and physical tools as a defensive back. On the hardwood, Mills was efficient around the rim and grabbed rebounds over taller players. His leadership was also shown in overtime in a tough road environment.

Woodward did not have the greatest game against Tindley, but Mills excelled from the tip and was instrumental in the Bulldogs win. Mills was getting by initial defenders and slashing throughout the game from different angles. His bigger frame and longer arms allowed him to bully opposing defenders who fouled his quite often on his attacks. Free throws were a struggle point for Mills as was comfortability using that left hand around the rim. Mills’ athleticism however is going to allow him to score in doses if teams can’t take away his attacking lanes.
