Richardson mainly plays in the painted/posted area and looks to dominate that area every game. He plays with lots of physicality and will look to back down players in the post forcing double teams or easy buckets for him. His post-hook move is consistent and keeps defenders on their heels looking to get a piece of it. His timing and instincts on offensive rebounds and putbacks make him a handful to keep up with in the paint.

Richardson stands at 6’4″ in the small forward position and plays with a lot of physical toughness. He has a strong upper body to bang down low in the posted area. Richardson has a hawks eye for tracking the ball when it bounces off the rim from a shot attempt. He can rebound in traffic over multiple defenders and is great at securing the ball when coming down from lurking defenders. Richardson had 182 rebounds this past season.

Richardson is a tenacious rebounder that loves to be a bruiser/bully down low. When Richardson makes up his mind that he wants to drive down the lane almost no one is stopping him from scoring in the paint because of how strong and physical he plays. He has a nice post-hook shot that he can get over anyone whenever he wants to use it. Richardson is even an underrated playmaker constantly looking for the kick-out open shooter from the three-point line because of how much attention he draws. He’s just an overall hard-nosed player that plays with a lot of force and power.
