Goings received his bump after a nice showing at our Expo in September where he showed off a quicker first step, playing with a more controlled pace, and his ability to impact the game at both ends. He’s processing the game at a nice rate when operating off the bounce and when he’s off the ball, has good instincts on where to be in order to make himself available for catch-and-shoots. This should be a telling year for Goings as he steps into a bigger role as an upperclassman.

Goings is a dual-threat guard who impacts the game as both a scorer and playmaker. He thrives in transition, makes sharp reads, and has the vision to find teammates in scoring positions. His ability to control pace while still applying pressure makes him a tough matchup and intriguing two-way guard.

Developing lefty guard. Looked comfortable scoring in transition. Making plays off the dribble. Showed that he could attack off the dribble, get to the rim to finish at the rim. Ricky is still somewhat raw as in determining what guard positions he will thrive in. But has a potential to be one of the top guards in the class of 2027 in the PG county league in the coming years…Look for the young man to be a solid contributor for Eleanor Roosevelt this year.
