Gilbert popped on my radar in January in an all Joliet matchup as a freshman that provided good minutes. At 6’6 he continues to show perimeter value to stretch the floor and create spacing opportunities. He is poised on catches with soft hands and uses his length and plus wingspan to his advantage around the rim. Defensively he is laterally capable of guarding different assignments from inside and out. Gilberts’ packaging of size and activity on both ends continues to give him versatile strengths heading into his Sophomore campaign.

Another impressive prospect at the Ben Howlett Elite Camp from the state of Illinois, this 6’6″ wing was a consistent two-way threat on Sunday. Gilbert is very long and athletic which served him well in transition throughout the event. He was aggressive as a driver, active as a cutter, and was able to finish up above most defenders at the end of his drives. Also, defensively, he was in the passing lanes a lot which led to some run out layups and dunks. Gilbert is definitely one to watch in the Class of 2029 at Joliet Central High School.

Love the long term potential on this 6’7″ forward out of Joliet Catholic and Illinois Jets.  Super lengthy interior defender that forced a variety of misses on that end of the floor. He capped that off with tremendous rebounding on both ends which included several put-back finishes. Even saw him make plays as a passer in this contest. I can definitely see him growing a bit more to be a top center on his class.  

It’s not very common to see someone as big and as athletic as Revell at the 15U level. He has a long 6’6” frame and was an amazing interior presence on the defensive side of the ball. He picked up several swats and grabbed a ton of contested rebounds in both games I saw. He could go to work in the post and was efficient on finishes around the rim. Gilbert also got up for a fast break slam, showing off his jumping abilities.
