Expert Analysis

Anthony Fortuna

Prep Hoops Lead Scout

Rennox Ponce is a hard hat guard who is willing to do whatever his team needs from him. He can set up the offense and facilitate for his teammates, or if he sees an open driving lane, he’ll punch the gas pedal and attack the rack. Ponce also makes his presence felt on defense, as he flies around the floor, stays locked in, and consistently brings energy and intensity to that end of the court.

Tyler Johnson

Prep Hoops Scout

Rennex is a pure point guard who operates an offense with the best of them, always looking to create for his teammates before looking for his own. He can finish well at the basket, has a knockdown three, and gets to the foul line often, giving him a scoring package that’s hard to game-plan for. Defensively, he’s a pest, always finding himself creating turnovers and making life miserable for opposing ball-handlers.

Centennial’s floor general Rennex Ponce Rennex Ponce 5'10" | PG/CG Centennial | 2027 State NV is now in #52 after the update. He is an agile PG who works hard to facilitate the offense with his handles, instincts, and passing ability. He will find his shooters when driving, or drop it off to his forwards if they’re available. Beyond his distributing, Ponce gets after it on the the defensive end. Frustrating opposing guards with his effort and focus.
