About Quintin
Expert Analysis
Jay Frye | Prep Hoops Scout
Cain stood out as an athletic wing who consistently played above the rim during live action. He finished effectively in transition and when attacking open space, using his physical tools to convert. Defensively, he showed the ability to guard on the perimeter, staying in front and contesting with length. His activity level allowed him to impact multiple possessions when engaged. As his shooting consistency and motor stabilize, his overall impact should expand within structured play.

Quintin is a young, promising prospect with a lot to admire. His above-average athleticism and impressive length allow him to soar over defenders on offense, but it’s his defensive game that truly stands out. Cain excels at playing the gaps and reading passing lanes, turning steals into easy buckets in transition. The scariest part? His ability to seamlessly blend athleticism with defense, making him a disruptive force on both ends of the floor. As his game continues to grow, he has all the tools to become a nightmare for opponents.

So far in this event, Quintin has set himself apart as the most explosive athlete! Bouncy, with an extended wing span, Cain had several high level plays including a powerful finish over a defender at the rim. Quintin also made several IMPACTFUL plays on the defensive end wreaking havoc on opposing players. Quintin uses his instinct and versatility to gather steals and deflections at a high rate. Playing on a well coached and talented Pro Skills squad, Cain plays his role well as a slashing guard that contributes anyway his team calls upon him to.

I love Cain’s game because he has the hops and natural ability to put on an absolute show offensively, but that’s not the peak of his talent. His defense is tenacious and you can tell he puts in a lot of work on that side of the ball. That will pay off in volumes down the road because it’s exactly what coaches look for when scouring athletes to add to their squad. He’s the kind of player that can help transform a good team to a great team. He does all the little things right – hustling back on D, challenging every shot, effectively swiping for steals without fouling, being the first to loose balls. A player that does all this without an ego and pairs that with star potential on the offensive end is going to garner massive attention.
