Expert Analysis
Colby Giacubeno | Prep Hoops Scout
A promising newer name on the radar, Meeks was a highlight waiting to happen with an exciting style at the point of attack. He showcased a slick but compact handle with impressive quickness streaking downhill past hapless defenders. Despite not jumping off the page physically, he was able to play above the rim in space after forcing turnovers with tough on-ball defense. Meeks also put a defender on the wrong end of a mixtape, dropping him with a vicious crossover before nailing a stepback 3, shooting a pure ball with repeatable mechanics.
Mostly a JV piece a year ago, Meeks should have a chance to break through at the varsity level this winter despite SHP returning an array of D1 prospects in the backcourt, and looks to be an intriguing talent himself waiting in the wings when opportunity calls.
