Wheeler is a gifted athlete, who at times appears to glide and float. Good body control and great hangtime on drives to the rim. Can switch hands mid air to score tough finishes. Plays with his head up in transition. The best example of this came when he high pointed a defensive board, pushed the tempo and pitched a crosscourt pass to a teammate for a corner three. Wheeler has been overlooked and that’s a mistake. Should be a priority target for regional JuCO programs, as he’s a shifty guard with burst, who makes things happen.
