Expert Analysis
Kyler Staley | Prep Hoops Scout
- Offers: Manchester University, Merchant Marine Academy
- Player Traits: long, lanky, explosive around rim, versatile, capably shooter from deep, defends, rim protector, can finish through contact.
- My Quick Thoughts: Sims is one of the more intriguing 2025 wing prospects due to his physical tools on the perimeter. Super athletic player that is explosive around the rim as well as a capable three port shooter. More schools need to be on him.

Sims has already started to make a name for himself cracking the Top 100 in the Prep Hoops Indiana prospect rankings and garnering the attention of some small college coaches throughout the spring. However, he showcased on Thursday at the Indiana Basketball All-Star Classic why he probably deserves to continue garnering more attention. The versatile 6’6″ forward finished with 13 points while shooting 5-7 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc. His two-way versatility is really impressive.

A versatile 6’6″ wing/forward from Northwestern High School, Sims had a great showing at the Pitt Jam Fest last weekend with the Hoosier State Prospects 2025 and they will be back in action this weekend at the Indiana Jam Fest at the Pacers Athletic Center. Sims had a 16-point, 12-rebound performance in Pittsburg showing off his ability both as a right hand driver and catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc. Really like his two-way upside.

After a good summer with Grand Park Premier Silver, this 6’5″ forward from Northwestern High School showed very well once again at the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 250 Expo on Sunday. Sims was excellent on the defensive end of the floor protecting the rim and holding his own on the block. Offensively, he finished multiple tough putbacks after crashing the glass hard. His activity level on both ends was really impressive. He should have a strong junior campaign this winter.
