How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Preston Ammah is a highly-touted basketball prospect in the Class of 2030, widely recognized for his elite speed and defensive tenacity. Currently an 8th grader, Ammah has garnered national attention for his ability to compete at levels far beyond his age group, including his recent role "playing up" with the JFK (Kennedy) varsity program in the Capitol Hoops Summer League.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Preston Ammah’s on-court performance is fueled by a high-intensity, "first-to-the-ball" mentality. He plays with a relentless motor, often described as a selfless competitor who prioritizes team defensive stops as much as his own scoring. This disciplined approach stems from his commitment as an Honor Roll student, where he applies the same focus and work ethic in the classroom and on the court

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Preston’s drive is anchored by his love for Christ and his role as an active member in his church. His faith serves as his foundation, instilling a sense of humility and purpose in how he carries himself. He plays with a selfless, team-first mentality, viewing basketball as a way to lead by example and give his best effort in every endeavor.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Balancing a varsity-level schedule with his status as an Honor Roll student has instilled a rigorous work ethic and time-management skills that define his daily routine. Preston has intentionally developed a versatile toolkit that extends beyond his athletic talent

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

His ability to hold his own against older varsity competition highlights his advanced basketball IQ and physical readiness.

What type of college are you looking for?

As an 8th grader in the Class of 2030, Preston Ammah is currently in the early "exposure" phase of his recruitment. Based on his academic standing, faith-driven character, and high-level play with the JFK Varsity program, he is positioning himself for Division I (D1) programs that offer a balance of high-level basketball and strong academic prestige.
