About Phillip

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a pass first PG/SG I want my teammates to win with me, but I can shoot the ball better than almost anybody in my class, I shoot 87 percent consistently I will give my heart and body on the line to win, but I want my teammates to do the same for me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a hard worker, I'm a dedicated player, when I step on the court I think it's me vs. me I'm out there to win for my team I want to be the one to not throw up the game winning shot, but I rather would be the one to pass to my teammate for the game winning shot I want to win not win selfish because if I win by ball hogging I'm losing still because I want to see my teammates win more than me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I recently got cut from my high school basketball team for not showing up for practice, I promise I show dedication, there was a lot of family stuff happening at the time, but I always give a team 110 percent if I get 110 back because basketball is a team sport.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have a leader mindset I want to carry a team but not being selfish to get them involved, I can memorize plays greatly once I learn them, I'm not the strongest, but I can promise when the ball leaves my hand from the 3pt line you're getting 3 points from me every time.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, this summer for the first time I couldn't show up to practices I was having trouble with family and stuff, I still play AAU, I still workout every day, I run 2 miles a day, I shoot 1,000 shots a day I practice my ball handling every day.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that wants me for how I play and for my strengths not for an extra guy I want a college that will use me for shooting the ball, I want a college that will use me for my leadership mindset.
