The leading scorer at Miami Valley as a freshman, George has already made an impact at the varsity level. George looked to be around the action throughout the game and seemed to play with the experience that a player with lots of varsity experience would have. While George doesn’t get to see the type of talent he saw on Saturday during the high school season, the numbers he put up made me sure to notice him and he made the most of his opportunity against players from big time high school programs. Small school prospect with a big time game!
George scored well around the rim, using his frame to shield defenders to score. George made a contested catch on a cut that allowed him to gather himself under the rim and easily score early in the 5 on 5 session. His size also allowed him to secure rebounds on both ends and George showed nice footwork in the paint by using pivots and pump fakes to get himself open.
