Comba, a senior guard out of South Burlington High School, has put his name in the conversation as the best combo guard in the VPA this winter. The 6’0″ lefty does a nice job of mixing up the ways he scores, can really makes plays in transition, and has developed into a consistent scorer from behind the arc. He does a nice job of getting downhill as a driver, particularly out of ball screens and DHO actions, has a quick first step in isolations, and is slipper when making his way to the rim with the ball in his hands. He finishes with athleticism and length around the basket, isn’t afraid to play through contact, and has shown the ability to make tough, contested shots in the paint when needed.

had a good day playing solid all-around winning basketball. With his blazing-quick speed, he was getting in transition and finishing at the rim with ease. He made the right reads with the ball, and the right decisions off the ball by finding open spots to knock down catch and shoot three balls. His speed and effort also translated on the defensive side and created turnovers which resulted in points in the other direction. Comba kept his game simple, which led to a productive afternoon on the hardwood.
