About Page

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have been called “an excellent glue guy” and I like that because it means I do my role to the best of my ability on both ends of the court to help the team thrive and win. I play tough defense, and I get rebounds and tip outs to create opportunities to score. I also have a quick release and a good handle making me a threat from deep or driving past my defender to get to the basket.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality in basketball comes from having a strong background in the fundamentals and a high IQ of the game. I have a team first mentality, and I leave it all on the court to help the team be successful. My work ethic is strong on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In middle school, I was an annual high honor roll student and recipient of the Hancock Day School 8th Grade Citizenship Award, Math Academic Award, English Language Arts Award, and Spanish Award. My freshman year in high school, I was the recipient of the Gray Solano Emerging Leader Award which is given to a freshman who displays high character, scholarship, and a future leader.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was also the recipient of the Presidential Bronze Volunteer Award for achieving more than 50 volunteer hours in one year. I am an active member of the National Junior Honor Society. My freshman year, I received the "Best Teammate" award from my teammates on the JV basketball team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Academics have always come first, but to play on the Redline Future UA team last spring, I had to miss school to attend the practices in Atlanta. I was responsible for sending weekly emails to my teachers to request the missed schoolwork, complete the assignments remotely, and makeup any assessments. And I had to maintain my grades to have this all work, which I did. I have a great support system.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has strong academics offering recognized majors, but also has a robust basketball program. The basketball program would be comprised of a strong coaching staff that is committed to the development of its players and success of the team. Also, the college would embody an energetic campus life with a real sense of school pride.
