Expert Analysis
Chris Robinson | Prep Hoops Scout
Weisenberger capped off his senior season by doing a little bit of everything for the Ramblers. A steady and composed guard, he was often tasked with handling the toughest defensive assignments while also facilitating the offense. He averaged 13 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game. His season high of 24 points came in a close battle with Fall Creek. Weisenberger’s leadership and unselfish play were major assets in Regis’ strong late-season push.

Weisenberger’s three-point jump shot was clicking for the Ramblers as he buried five of them on the way to scoring 17 points. He did have a chance to make it six in the closing seconds with his team down 47-45, but he misfired from the left wing. Weisenberger has been a backcourt mainstay in the Ramblers’ lineup the past few seasons, and is a strong all-around athlete as he also quarterbacked the Regis football team last fall.

I had the opportunity to watch action from Owen’s Chippewa Valley Select team a couple of times over the weekend. He shot a high percentage from three throughout and took opportunities to drive to the rim and score when available. He moves well without the ball and positions himself to catch and shoot with consistent rhythm. In addition to scoring close to 20 points in one of the games I watched, he added some assists, rebounds and demonstrated solid ball-handling.
