Torres, a guard out of East Catholic High School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance on the Watch List and should quickly jump into the ranked category come March. A big, physical guard, he does a terrific job of reading plays before they develop on the defensive end of the floor. With a high activity level, he’s able to create turnovers both as an on-ball defender and off the ball in passing lanes. Offensively, he uses his strength to his advantage as a downhill driver, where he can both create for others and finish at the rim himself. Beyond that, he’s quickly developing into one of the better underclassmen shooters in the CIAC.

Torres, a sophomore guard out of East Catholic High School, is another playmaking guard that does a nice job of creating easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. He’s got a terrific handle, knows have to navigate ball screens, and has a good feel for when to pick his spots as a scorer in the paint. He gets downhill quickly, can make catch and shoot threes, and also has the ability to guard either back-court spot on the other end of the floor.
