VanBeurden showed off why he’s a top 2026 in the WNC region in a dominant win for his group on Friday night. He finished with 20 points and 4 made threes, continuing to show off his ability to shoot the ball from deep. He’s got good touch and figures out how to attack the lane with it, hitting some nice floaters and mid-range crafty jumpers through the night. Able to whip the ball around as a passer as well. Should be able to continue leading his team, which is on the rise as a 2A school to watch.

Last Season Stats – 10.1 PPG, 2.3 APG, 40 3PM
VanBeurden is a young guard continuing to improve and should be in line to lead his St. Stephen’s group to an improved finish this year. He’s a very capable shooter off the catch, exhibited by his 40 3 pointers made, and knows how to spot up and find the right shot at the right time. Also very unselfish and aware of the game around him, not hogging the ball or trying to make a hero play. This discipline will go a long way as the lead man in his sophomore year.

is another prospect out West in the 828 area at St. Stephen’s High to start keeping an eye on as he joins the Top 100. He’s a 6-foot-2 prospect with a knack for knocking down shots as an off-the-ball threat in the backcourt. He finished his freshman season this past season averaging 10.1 ppg and 2.3 rpg and has continued his development this grassroots cycle with
Carolina Riptide
Hickory. He’s proven he can do more than just shoot the ball on the offensive end as he’s started to use his length in the backcourt to be a rebounding and shot-blocking presence in the painted area.
