Tomlin is going to be a good small ball 5 man for some university. He’s a good athlete who has shown the ability to step out and shoot the three ball. Tomlin has a springy first jump, which allows him to get off the floor and rebound at a high level.

Tomlin established himself as a 3A POY candidate. He has developed a nice mid post game, choosing to either shoot the Flamingo fadeaway or faceup, ripthrough and drive by his defender.

Tomlin is transitioning nicely into a stretch 4. He has a smooth jumper, and is accurate from behind the three point line. He served a lot as a floor spacing big, look for him to play more out of pick and pop action in the future.

Tomlin is my number one priority to see this Spring. Size and athleticism is probably the two biggest things coaches are looking for right now and Tomlin has both. He was one of the best players in 3A this season, however I’m looking to see how he performs when he’s facing other players that can look him in the eye.

Tomlin is one of the more exciting players in the class. He’s had another growth spurt, checking in at 6’8 now. When you add in his mobility and athleticism it’s easy to see why so many are intrigued. It will be interesting to see what he does this summer, as one or two special plays may put him squarely on the recruiting radar.

Tomlin has the physical tools to be one of the most dominant players in 3A this season. There is a real possiblity that if he improves on his 18 and 6 numbers from a year ago, that we may be talking about him being 3A player of the Post season as well.
