Rubin wrapped up his recruitment with a commitment to Sarah Lawrence College. A high IQ, perimeter scorer, Rubin showcases a well-rounded game on the offensive end of the floor. He’s a true scoring guard, but is capable of operating with the ball in his hands in ball screens. He’s a quality decision maker and quick ball mover that does a great job of cutting and spacing the floor. A high level shooter on the perimeter, he’s able to get his feet set quickly and has a nice release. Defensively, he has the ability to guard both backcourt spots and does a nice job of keeping the ball out of the paint. He’ll head to the Skyline Conference where he should be able to have a quick presence on the offensive end of the floor for Sarah Lawrence.

Rubin has some wiggle and some flare to his game. He seems to see the entire floor, even when on the move, and finds lanes to the rim and passing lanes to feed teammates. Rubin utilizes that pass fake with perfection, sending defenders scrabling and opening up looks the rim for himself. He has solid control and creativity when he’s in the air with the basketball.
