Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Reynolds is quite difficult to handle in the post. The 6-foot-3 forward has extremely strong hands and quite a bit of density to him, so he’s impossible to move off his spot in the post. Furthermore, he’s quite effective once he gets a touch on the block—he makes great kickout passes to open three point shooters and can go to work for easy buckets if the help never comes. Reynolds is an extremely skilled player who could see his productivity rise significantly if he really commits to his conditioning and motor. He should be a meaningful guy for LCA this season.

Like Tolley, Reynolds has an intriguing blend of size, strength, and feel for the game. The 6-foot-3 forward is super strong on the inside and uses his dense base to hold his ground against opposing bigs and dominate the paint. But he also moves better than most guys his size on the perimeter and can take bigger, slower players off the dribble with his ability to handle the ball and get to his spots. He also has a budding outside shot. Reynolds had a really nice spring and summer for Team Sims and should be a very meaningful piece for a Lexington Christian Academy team that could surprise people this season.

Reynolds, a member of Team Sims 15U HGAL squad, is a two-way forward from Southeastern Vocational in Massachusetts. A burly 6’4″ forward, he’s able to carve out space on the block, has advanced footwork for a young prospect, and shows good feel as a passer when the double team comes. He finishes with strength around the rim, but also shows soft touch on his jump hooks. Defensively, he walls up in the paint without fouling and does a great job of boxing out on the glass.
