It’s little moments for the high upside post prospect. Like blocking a shot and starting to show a bit of swagger an attitude. An aspect that his older brother didn’t start to fully display till his 17U summer. If the younger Pierce can start to unlock that swagger more as a sophomore for Union, he could be the best rim protector in the 918 this winter. Still, it’s a wait and see approach with Pierce. As odds are there will be a lot of production to see in the near future.

Pierce is still an incredibly raw prospect, but there’s very promising factors for his long term potential. He’s a legit 6 foot 10 and might still be growing. Along with his height, he has an older brother, Trent, who is a starter at Missouri. While it’s not an one for one comparison between the brothers (Trent was a 6’5 guard as a freshman), it’s still a good way to judge that the younger Pierce has a chance to a big time prospect. A spring and summer with MOKAN on the EYBL will be a big indicator of how quickly Pierce could live up to his potential.

The still growing Pierce might be a year or two away from fully exerting himself as a dominant rim presence, but his time is coming. He’s a legit 6 foot 8, with an even longer wingspan. Well suited to follow in the footsteps of his brother Trent, who’s currently a junior at Missouri. The younger Pierce seems to be more of a traditional 4/5 prospect when compared to his brother. But wouldn’t sleep on his ability in a year or two to step out and spread the floor as a stretch forward. Exciting prospect to keep tabs on going forward.

Pierce is still very much in the developmental stage of his basketball career. There’s flashes of grabbing boards and good touch around the rim. Maybe even hitting a three. His upcoming high school impact might be limited compared to other top prospects, but the upside is the highest in the class. First because seemingly with every viewing, he’s still growing. Then second, his older brother Trent started 19 games at Missouri this past year. And at the rate Nate is growing, he might just end up being taller than 6 foot 10.
