Narmarqus is an ultra athletic combo guard out of Princess Anne High School and plays for Boo Williams 17U EYCL team. He’s one of the most explosive and athletic guards/wings available in VA in his class and has been a pivotal piece to Princess Anne the last few seasons. He’s had a monster summer and will 100% be a player that college coaches walk away with his name being circled. He has a college-ready frame standing at 6’4 and has great muscle and strength to finish through contact at and above the rim. He will create easy transition opportunities for his squad. 

Byrd brings an appealing combination of strength, size, and length on the wing. He is a reliable shot-maker who can stretch the floor from beyond the arc while also being effective in the midrange. The junior plays with a good feel for the game and consistently shows toughness on both ends of the floor, making him a steady, two way contributor.

Byrd is a versatile utility forward who serves as a reliable plug-and-play option. He uses his length effectively on the defensive end and shows the ability to play above the rim. Applies strong ball pressure and thrives in trapping and pressing situations. Plays a physical brand of basketball, capable of going coast-to-coast and finishing through contact.

A guard/wing with bounce and speed, Byrd thrives in transition. He runs the floor hard, finishes above the rim, and turns defense into offense quickly. Few players in the 757 can match his combination of explosiveness and energy.

The junior guard also finished with 17 points for Princess Anne, doing much of his damage at the free-throw line by consistently applying pressure on the defense. Byrd has good positional size on the wing, solid strength, and is a reliable midrange scoring threat. He plays with toughness and physicality, allowing him to impact the game beyond the box score.
