Blackwell is a shining example of height not necessarily meaning wins. He’s under 6’0″, but all he does is win. Blackwell wins on the court, to the tune of a school’s first ever state championship. And he wins off the court to the tune of D1 offers. Blackwell is an elite floor general that will almost surely average double digit assists this season.

Blackwell is elite with the ball in his hands and his ability to pass is a big part of that. He does an excellent job at creating and keeping space between him and his defender. This gives Blackwell better sight lines and way more angles to make plays off the pass.

I wouldn’t call his handles flashy, but that’s a good thing. Blackwell keeps his dribbles concise and every one of them has a purpose. He’s extremely efficient with the ball and rarely makes a mistake off the bounce.

Blackwell has an extremely high upside. He’s an elite ball handler that can basically hide the ball from his defender. Blackwell is a playmaker with those handles, attacking the rim and drawing defenders, then dishing and dumping off to teammates in scoring positions. If the defense doesn’t rotate, Blackwell is a shifty finisher at the rim.
