His first step was elite, giving him blow-by ability against even the quickest perimeter defenders. Once downhill, Boyd had a knack for shielding the ball with his body or cuffs and also using high or low pick-ups to finish through traffic, using extended layups, floaters, and creative angles off the glass. Lethal in isolation often functioning as both primary creator and scorer, capable of dropping 20 points on any given day.
