About Miles
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Small shooter who plays good defense but my defensive intensity and loudness needs to increase. I can make floaters but layups are challenging and I need to work on using my body and being more physical. I bring good energy on and off the floor and I think I can lift my teammates up pretty well. I can see the floor okay but that needs to improve along with my passes being fast and on the seams.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I think I am coachable but that can always improve. I would say I’m confident and believe in myself but I hang my head sometimes on misses and other things that get me down.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have got some pride passes at my school for helping teachers and being honest. I have some academic awards for keeping my gpa up while maintaining sports.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I work well with teams and I’m honest to my coaches and teammates. I’m not %100 percent a leader yet but I’m getting there. I have helped out with things from reffing and keeping score at youth basketball leagues to helping pack thanksgiving meals for people in need.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Being 5,5 freshman year has its drawbacks and disadvantages and It was more difficult to guard bigger players. I also think being small makes you more vulnerable to being underestimated. I am doing my best with what I have and I keep working.
What type of college are you looking for?
A college that I can get continue my education at and play basketball. I would take any change I could get to play college basketball.
