Without a doubt, White was the best shooter I saw this weekend in Grand Rapids. He’s one of the few players who I think are more comfortable shooting off the dribble than in a catch-and-shoot situation. Nevertheless, Mikey is a guy who can hit college-range 3s already and is solid operating in the middle of the court. This range should continue to extend as he adds strength. On-ball defense is White’s next best attribute, keeping a ball-handler in front of him for long stretches was a key to his team’s success with the shot clock. He already holds offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Eastern Illinois. I would expect that list to expand over the course of the AAU season.

In a game that went down to the wire against Elite Legacy , a big performance from Mikey helped his team come away with a win. When you’re defending Mikey, you can’t afford to switch off for a second. He’s so good at moving without the ball, and if you look away, Mikey is going to relocate and find space to catch and shoot. White showed a quick release from three, and was draining shots off the catch or dribble all game long. His quickness also translated to the defensive end, where he came up with a few steals throughout the game.

Skill is the name of the game for White, a three-year varsity player for Kenosha Bradford who has the ball on a string, can bury shots from deep and has a picture-perfect release on his jump shot. White went for 15 points and three triples while handling the majority of ball-handling duties for Dftp Elite in its loss to All-Wisconsin. He did not turn the ball over, made shots, defended with his impressive lateral quickness on the perimeter and found open teammates once he got into the lane.

One of the better shooters in the 2027 class, White has very deep range and can wrack up several made three-point baskets in any given game. White is on the small side to be sure, but the highly competitive backcourt ace is an elite-level shooter who also boasts plenty of quickness and strong ball-handling and passing skills. A key returning piece for a Kenosha Bradford program hoping to contend for the title in the Southeast Conference, White started and averaged 9.2 points and 2.6 assists as a freshman.
