The Wewoka Tigers have been one of the biggest turnarounds from 8-17 to now 20-6 and potentially only two wins from the Class 2A State Tournament. The addition of Piza from Holdenville was a key part of their turnaround. He’s a 1,000 point scorer for his career with the clutch gene. In a win over fellow ranked Class 2A Preston, it was Piza who scored the game winning points. Along with clutch fourth scoring in an early season win over 4A Broken Bow. Has impressed with his shot making ability, with a bit of a microwave type scorer ability. Especially as he can catch fire from deep.

A newcomer to Wewoka, the transfer was a big time shot maker in the comeback victory. Was a bright spot early, had 10 points in the first. Triples, plus drives to the rim with an eurostep finish and a runner finish. He then erupted in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Put the Tigers up with a clutch three that made it 59-57 with about a minute left. Put the finishing touches on the win with a pair of free throws. Valuable upperclassman to guide his talented sophomore teammates to a potential Class 2A State Tournament berth.
