Kirby Jr. set the tone early with his elite first step and ability to beat defenders off the dribble. He attacked the rim with purpose and he did most of his damage during the first and fourth quarters. His jumper looked smooth, and defensively he brought intensity—pressuring the ball 94 feet making Del Oro’s ball-handers work all night.

At 6’1 and growing, he’s got good length and an improving set of skills for the guard position. He’s got good hops finishing close to the rim, good foot speed to be a quality on ball defender. He’ll finish strong at the rim in transition including dunks. He’s an improving ball handler, and he’ll shoot 3’s if open. He get rebounds from the guard position.

He’s along arm prospect with good movement on the defensive side of the ball. He has the length and foot speed to stay on ball, and make it tough for shooters to get open looks with his ability to get out on shooters. He’s a solid ball handler and he’ll move it around the the perimeter.
