About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 6’1” shooting guard/small forward who plays with a strong inside presence and loves attacking the paint. I shoot with confidence—averaging 42% from the field and 80% from the free throw line. I use my size and strength to finish through contact, while also stretching the floor when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I approach the game with discipline, confidence, and a team-first mindset. I’m always looking to improve and bring intensity on both ends of the court. Coming from Greenville, Mississippi, and now representing Texas Christian in Katy, I carry pride in my roots and work hard to make my presence felt every time I step on the floor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m a proud member of the Jr. Honor Society. Outside of sports, I take on a major leadership role at home as the oldest of four siblings, which has taught me maturity and responsibility beyond my years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a big brother and team player has helped me grow strong leadership and communication skills. I’ve learned how to support others, stay accountable, and set a positive example—both at home and on the court. Teamwork, discipline, and consistency are core to everything I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven’t faced any challenges that I couldn’t overcome with faith and focus. Prayer, discipline, and staying grounded have helped me push through anything that’s come my way.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking to attend a Division I college that values academics and athletics, preferably Texas A&M. I want a school where I can grow as a student, athlete, and leader on and off the court.
