Thalacker heads into the season with plenty to prove as he looks to establish himself as one of the state’s most underrated point guards. He has shown flashes of being Skyline’s go to scorer, putting together double digit scoring performances while also creating opportunities for his teammates. His ability to balance facilitating with attacking makes him a difficult matchup, but consistency will be the key this season. Defensively he sets the tone with relentless on ball pressure and a competitive edge that impacts every possession. If he can put everything together night after night, Thalacker has the chance to elevate both his game and Skyline’s success

Thalacker is a player who we went into the event wanting to see how he’d perform, and he showed up. When he was up against the top team of the weekend, Peak2Peak battled and showed true grit, and Thalacker was why. He’s a confident scorer who excels both with the ball in his hands and plays off-ball. He handles pressure and can create shots for himself. He got himself going by pulling up for deep jumpers and showed a complete game. He took a ton of shots and looked like he belonged. The thing about his game that was underrated all weekend is his ability as a on-ball defender. He’s an excellent defender who stays in front of his man, stays attached on screens, moves his feet, and stays in front of his man. This was a big-time weekend for him, and he’s a player who we want to see more of as there’s much more there. Hopefully, we see him at our showcases and more events to keep an eye on him heading into the event. 

Michael brings so much to the table as a lead guard, being able to do it all. He is a great passer and looked good pushing the pace and creating scoring opportunities for teammates and himself. He plays very hard, hustling for loose balls and giving maximum effort on defense. Thalacker showed he could score from all three levels and was huge in an overtime win for Peak2Peak.

Thalacker has been turning heads this summer with breakout performances that showcase his ability to run the show as a true floor general. His confidence and command of the offense are impressive, consistently putting his team in position to succeed. What separates Thalacker is his ability to break down defenses. His tight handles and quick crossover make him tough to stay in front of, and once he gets into the lane he thrives. He is always finishing with smooth layups or soft floaters. His knack for creating scoring opportunities inside makes him a serious threat and a player to watch closely this season

Thalacker had himself a breakout weekend and definitely made some noise. He played like a true floor general, taking charge and leading his team with confidence. What really stood out was how easily he got past defenders. His handles and ball handling was tight, and his crossover was tough to stay in front of. He had no problem getting into the lane, where he really thrived. Whether it was a smooth layup or a soft little floater, he made it look easy. His ability to break down defenses and create looks inside made a big impact. He’s definitely one to keep an eye on moving forward
