Parlow has fully embraced his increased role with the Warriors this season as more of a primary scoring guard in comparison to last season where he was more of a catch-and-shoot, floor-spacing shooter. While he still provides the valuable space due to his deadly outside shooting prowess, his game off the bounce attacking off a few dribbles or becoming a true above the rim threat in transition has not only bolstered his own stock, but also turned Mt. Zion into a much more dangerous team. Currently considered a top-10 prep program nationally, Mt. Zion will enter the thick of their schedule in the coming weeks, particularly in EPL play where the 6-foot-3 senior is averaged a blistering 23.5 points per game. Parlow moved up 22 spots in the latest update after a loud start to the 2025-26 season.

does so much to assert himself as a leader for the Mt Zion Prep team. He completely controls the action as the main creator, showcasing excellent balance between playmaking and three-level scoring. Parlow effortlessly breaks down opponents off the bounce to touch the paint and make quality reads with the ball in his hands. He sees the floor well as a passer but also mixes it up very well as a scorer. Parlow is a reliable three-point shooter, midrange threat, and penetrator with the ability to finish through contact. Add in his defense and rebounding, and it’s easy to be impressed with his all-around game.

It was a slow, murky start for both Parlow and Mt. Zion Prep as a team in the first half of their game against PG Christian Academy, but the second half was a different story as Parlow found his flow and his team went onto win by a commanding final score of 54-32. The long-limbed, 6-foot-3 shotmaker led the Warriors with 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting and was active in the passing lanes as he registered four steals. His improvement as a playmaker off the bounce comes to light in ball screen actions, but Parlow isn’t a guy that the ball sticks with. He’s good at getting off of it to quickly relocate and only needs a split-second to get his jumper off. The production and efficiency thus far for Parlow have been steady.

Parlow is a skilled gritty off guard who makes his mark felt as a scorer. He has nice positional size which can be imposing for small guards who are tasked to cover him. Parlow scored double figures in both games at NPS. He touches the paint with ease and gets a lot of grunge buckets. The biggest Achilles heel in his game is his consistency from behind the arc he is more of a taker not a maker at this stage of his career. Parlow would be a great pickup at the LM+/MM- level.

Smooth effortless guard who scores with ease and fluidity, capable of finishing in a variety of ways, including through contact. Fearless on offense, always attacking the rim and creating his own shot, while also a knockdown shooter. Lengthy, quick, and dynamic, with the ability to anticipate plays on both ends of the floor, making him a constant impact player. Extremely coachable, with a mentality. Moves extremely well without the ball. Smooth stroke coming off picks/screens/passes. Michael is a legit 3pt shot maker. Ability to put the ball on the floor and make plays for self and teammates are impactful. Smooth change of direction with the ball as well. Finish the game with 13 points and 3 assists.

Parlow looks to put together another standout outing since last weekend at the CBG x Assist Juco Prep Showdown. The 6-foot-3 guard is one of the top sharpshooting guards that you’ll see at the event and the way that he gets his shots within the flow looks very translatable to the college level, hence why Robert Morris has joined his recruiting picture. There will be short stints of Parlow having opportunities to create off the bounce for himself, but his bread is buttered beyond the arc where he can also swing the momentum of games in transition flaring out to the wing.

Parlow seems to be putting things together quickly since the beginning of fall. He’s stepping into a primary role with this year’s Mt. Zion team and his overall sense of confidence has risen to the calling. The 6-foot-3 guard is a lethal long-range shooting threat that can knock down shots in a variety of ways off the move. He started Mt. Zion’s first game in typical fashion where he buried a three from the top of the key off a pindown screen. Parlow’s awareness on relocations around the perimeter as guards penetrate resulted in a bevy of catch-and-shoot opportunities where his shot preparation consisting of footwork, balance, and a strong base were all evident. Parlow was key in both of the Warriors wins on the day with the first coming against The Skill Factory and the other against Combine Academy. More to follow on Friday regarding Parlow’s recruitment in my weekly recruiting notebook.

Parlow is an all around utility guard who does whatever is needed to help contribute to the good of the team. He gets downhill and can score around the rim. Parlow has no issues taking charges and sacrificing his body to help get more offensive possessions. He has a good blend of size and strength which he uses to his advantage. Parlow does a nice job of touching paint on the attack. He is a prospect who should be a priority for low major programs.

had an excellent day shooting the ball for Mt. Zion Prep. Michael is a great fit on this team. He is an ideal two-guard with his elite athleticism and scoring ability. You can play him off the ball as a shooter, and he is a defender with high potential. Michael had 21 points.

-An athletic combo guard prospect that can score in bunches, I expect college coaches to fall in love with his blend of scoring talent, athletic and physical tools, and two-way potential. Parlow is most comfortable hitting shots from the midrange but he is more than capable of letting it fly from distance and also boasts a better finishing package than most would expect. Would not be surprised to see him have a few scoring outbursts that boost his stock.
