About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

6'0 Guard that is a downhill driver, great playmaker, and good shooter. I take pride in getting my teammates involved but also know when it's time to takeover and make a big play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to play as hard as possible on the court and take care of what is necessary off of it. I take my education and grades very seriously and strive to get the best possible grades because I have always been told what you do off the court determines how well you will do on it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in a verity of clubs such as beta club and sources of strength. Some awards I have gotten off the court include 3x all A honor role and 6x A and B honor role. I have also received first chair in the band numerous times as well as honors like outstanding performance in Spanish I, honors algebra 1 and honors life science.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed into taking the role of being a leader off and on the court. Basketball has taught me lots about being a community, team and a leader. Off the court leading in church as well as in my own home and in the classroom has also played a huge role in my ability to be such a good leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced many challenges. When I first began playing basketball confidence was always a big problem for me and sometimes those roots still creep in to this day. Learning to know that my mistakes don't define me has overall helped me in that aspect of the game as well as others.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can develop my skills and take them the next level. I strive to find a program that puts players and their skill and well being first before anything. Another interest to me is a school where I can play good minutes and develop my game as much as possible.
