The Columbia University commit did what he does in a 4-0 week for Highlanders. Madueme has a direct impact on winning and that can come as a scorer, cutter, decision maker, defender, rebounder or anything else Head Coach Ben Fratrik needs from the senior wing. Don’t be surprised to if Madueme find his way into the rotation early for his future Ivy League program.

, the 6’4” wing, shined during Session 3. Even though he’s a wiry wing, he used his body and positioning to carve out his own area on the court to rebound. With his head up and a guard mentality, he’s able to rebound and go, initiating offense and finding his teammates in stride. From what he’s shown on the circuit thus far, Madueme has an expanding offensive game as well. Most of his scoring has come from within 8 to 10 feet but with more reps, his long-range shooting will come around as well.

Coming off a sophomore year that saw Madueme average just a shade under ten points and seven rebounds at Lake Highland Prep, he is ready to continue to showcase his game this season. He will most likely see more minutes in the backcourt rather than the post area as he does at LHP where he is one of the main wing/bigs in the paint.
Madueme moves very well without the ball in his hands trying to get himself open or setting solid screens for his teammates and allowing them to find space to operate in. Finding those open areas on the court allows him to get open looks frequently. He does well finishing around the basket and taking contact and plays off the window and angles at a high level.
His jumper is tight and compact, with a solid repeatable motion. Just needs to see the deep ball drop a bit more to gain confidence in spreading his game behind the arc. This could be the summer that jumper starts falling more frequently.

The 6-4 sophomore combo forward took advantage of his size in the paint where he was finishing effectively on both sides of the rim. He also expanded his range where he knocked down a couple of 3-pointers in the win over Forest. On the defensive end, he took advantage of mismatches when it came to protecting the rim as well as challenging shots with his length. Madueme finished with a game-high 23 points and eight rebounds.

Key Addition: Michael Madueme 6-2 SF (2026). Madueme transferred from Lake Nona to Lake Highland Prep during the off-season and provides good basketball instincts right away as a sophomore. Madueme has good size, length and athleticism for his size where he is a good presence especially on the offensive glass. Madueme has a knack where he can guard mismatches using his length whether it’s in the paint or out on the perimeter. On the offensive end, he can finish at the front of the rim without flaws and has also continued to improve his outside shooting.
