The third consecutive CMAC player to be featured in this article, Johnson has a lot of natural talent and ability. Scoring 17 PPG on 53% from the floor shows his scoring talents. A strong wing who can get to the rim, I was hoping Johnson would take a leap as a shooter this season but only making 12 3-pointers shows his work is done in the paint and mid-range area. His frame and size also allows Johnson to be an impact defensive player who can defend 3’s and 4’s If the light flips on for Johnson he could wind up being a steal for whatever program takes a chance on him.

Another CMAC talent, Johnson is a big wing who has shown flashes that make you wonder what his ceiling looks like. Still putting his talent together and working on being more consistent, this senior season is a big one for Johnson who could really breakout in the Cincinnati area this season.

Johnson has a lot of natural ability with his size, athleticism and shot making ability. Scoring 13.3 PPG on 53 FG% is a productive season, but Johnson still has plenty of room for growth in those numbers next year. Playing on the EYBL circuit helped him take a leap from a Sophomore to a Junior and will have another chance to grow on the grassroots scene this spring and summer.

Johnson is a prospect who had some production as a Sophomore but I think could take a big step as a Junior. Johnson flashed some improved outside shooting ability for Bates Fundamentals this summer and has a more diverse offensive game than what I saw in the spring. If Johnson continues to show his improved outside shooting ability he should see his PPG numbers greatly increase.

Johnson is a prospect who I’m really excited to continue to watch because the flashes he started to show as a perimeter shot-maker and transition athlete were very intriguing. When I watched him late in the spring he was still settling into his EYBL team and figuring things out, but after seeing some highlights of him from the summer with the same team, Johnson looked like a much more confident player with the ball in his hands. I’m excited to get another look at Johnson and see how consistent these highlight plays are as he could more further up the rankings soon.
