About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style always seeks to find the best opportunity to score. It is with that mindset that I average more assists than any other player on my team, be it high school or AAU, while still contributing a great deal to scoring from all three levels. Defensively, my objective is to shut down whoever I'm guarding in man coverage or the area I'm covering in zone defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Whenever I step on the court, I feel that I am the best player. My mindset is to facilitate my teammates to perform at their best, because I give nothing less than my best. My motor doesn't stop till the game is over.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the Student Council Received many honor roll certificates Fellowship of Christian Athletes

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I talk to my teammates constantly, during warm-ups, on the bench, in the game, on the bus, at practice, by text and by phone. I"m constantly encouraging them to work on their game outside of school and AAU. I do my best to motivate them to be the best version of themselves as they can possibly be.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last season, I was ill for almost the first 16 games of the season. I didn't play at all in 4 of them. It took some time later in the season to shake back into good form, so that process from not playing well, to not playing at all and the slow grind back to normal was quite taxing. The season ended well for us, but it was a grind.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for any college that will utilize my strengths and develop my weaknesses. I want to attend a college that is about winning at every area of life and every level of competition.

Competing on the New Balance Circuit, he’s noticeably stronger than in past years, with a solid 6’3” frame that’s only boosting his stock. A proven sharpshooter, Ducre has also developed his mid-range game and is comfortable attacking the rim, finishing strongly through contact. With his combination of size, athleticism, IQ, and skill, he’s poised for college basketball. Keep an eye on him moving forward—he checks all the boxes and continues to rise.
