About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an aggressive, three-level scorer who thrives in transition. I look to create my own shot but always maintain court awareness to find the open man when the defense collapses.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a 'next-play' mentality. I stay level-headed under pressure and focus on being a vocal leader who keeps the team composed during tight games.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a deep understanding of team chemistry and role execution. I realize that for a team to succeed, every player must master their specific assignments. I take pride in doing the 'unseen' work—setting hard screens, making the extra pass, and communicating on rotations—because I know those small actions are what lead to collective wins.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a freshman, I had to adjust to significant bench time, which was a major shift from being a primary starter in middle school. Instead of becoming discouraged, I used it as fuel. It drove me to be the hardest worker in every practice, focusing on high-intensity defense and scout team play to prove I belong. This experience taught me that playing time is earned, not given.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a tight-knit, family-oriented culture where players hold each other accountable both on and off the court. I want to be part of a program where the coaching staff and teammates truly support one another, creating an environment where we can push each other to our limits because there is a foundation of mutual trust and respect.
