Carte is an all around player. Can handle the ball outside the ark or uses his length to try and score down low. Has great post play and different moves to try and score in the paint. Quick at taking his man off the dribble and can stop on a dime. Always willing to make the extra pass. On defense, he uses his length to try and disrupt shots.

Carte finished with 15 points in an opening round loss to Chapmanville Regional HS. Matthew is a creative guard and a 1st Team All-State performer. Carte is a gym rat who really likes to go left to right to finish at the rim. Matthew has a strong work ethic and never looked to take a play off.
He likes to use a head-fake move from time to time to advance the ball to the bucket.
