Breen was one of the biggest stock risers of the spring and summer, making a name for himself throughout New England for his play with Rivals Elite. The Shawsheen Tech big man is athletic, aggressive, and mobile. He has good size, impressive length, and plays with a quality motor. Most impressively, he seemed to stand out everywhere he went this summer – from All Academic to Elite 75 to the Made Hoops Circuit. He does a good job of elevating quickly, on both ends of the floor, is an impressive cutter, and has even shown some touch on his jumper out to the three point line. He’s a good defender than can guard in multiple ball screen defenses while also supplying high level rim protection. He’s turned into a high level Division III recruit that could generate scholarship interest this winter.

Breen was easily the tallest player at Emmanuel’s Elite camp. Standing at 6-foot-9 with great length, he could be a very physically imposing big at the D3 level. But right now, he’s still working on figuring out his body and getting more comfortable offensively. He showed some decent footwork in the post and a workable outside shot, but both are still coming along. On the defensive end, Breen is already a talented rim protector who has good positioning and timing. He tries to block literally everything. Once he puts on some weight and strength, Breen could be a really nice D3 big.

Breen makes his debut in the 2025 rankings at the #129 spot. A long and lean forward with deceptive athleticism, Breen has had a strong spring with Rivals Elite and continues to turn the heads of college coaches any time he takes the floor. He’s all of 6’8″ with long arms and a good motor, allowing him to make impact plays by the rim on both ends of the floor. While he’s comfortable playing out of the dunker spot, he’s capable of sliding to the perimeter where he can put the ball on the floor and attack bad closeouts. As he continues to add strength, his stock should rise due to his ability to consistently finish at or above the rim. He competes for rebounds, contests shots, and is able to start the break off the bounce in transition. Now that he’s in the rankings, he’ll be an interesting prospect to track and could potentially be a riser by the time our next update rolls around.
