Williams held his own on Saturday in the post. Making multiple drop step shots over smaller defenders. He knows when he has a size advantage, and he sure knows how to use it. His footwork down low was impressive. He was also very solid all around on defense against all 5 positions. Mason was talking a bunch on defense which I think is so important. Great teammate, great effort.

Last season, he was tough, and this year, he is going to be tougher. Williams is confident, and he is shooting the ball better than some guards out on the perimeter. With a sharper jumper, you can expect him to garner more attention. He is a JUCO D1 type of prospect unless a D2 comes calling.

Williams has all the athleticism you might want in a 3 at a small school level. Williams dies a great job attacking and plowing his way to the rim. Williams can add more skill to his perimeter game and that is the upside you are looking at when it comes to projecting him at the next level.

Williams might be a gem for the right D2 school or NAIA. he has the ability to defend bigger and he is quick enough to get by some guards, but there is a lot of upside with him and he has athleticism. High ceiling for Williams at the next level.

Williams is an athlete that can play above the rim. With end to end running ability he could be a solid fast break SF that would also play out on the perimeter. Look for him to get quicker off of that first step in his jab and off the bounce. He is a player with next level gem type potential because of his hybrid SF/W skill set.

Williams has been playing well since we saw him at the Utah Expo. Williams rebounds well and when he gets the ball near the paint he makes solid moves to the rim.

Williams is as solid as you get and I’m telling you, if he were playing at a bigger school you would have more eyes on him because he is talented. Really love that he did not go crazy out in the perimeter but did some post work and he was strong using one or two dribbles to make a move.

Williams was one of the more impressive fluid next level players that is off the radar. He was previously listed as a center, but he is not a center he is a SF. He can defend centers and he probably has to at his school and mayeb even on the AAU Circuit but he has next level 3 guard skills. His elevation and play above the rim will make him a big time off the ball defender that can come over and help. This is the type of kid small college’s go after because of the versatility on defense.
