About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Multi-dimensional player that affects the game with or without shooting. Strong defensive player who can read the court, take charges and steal. I typically lead in assists on any team I am on, but can be a scoring threat myself whether driving it in, or hitting 3s. I have high basketball acuity and am extremely coachable. I want to learn and grow in the game and ultimately play at a high level.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player, always doing my part whether that's being ISO or setting up the assist. I am driven and competitive. I love sports and being part of the comradery of a team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received several awards at school, such as academic achievements and student of the month for virtues such as Determination. I help volunteer time in the community by doing things like working for the booster club, local nonprofits and helping with the younger kids basketball leagues.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Several of my teachers have told me I am a leader in the classroom. Through this I have learned that how I act affects others and how I can lead in a positive or negative way. I am QB for our football team and call the plays, count players and make sure we are ready for each play. In basketball I am the leader of my school team, helping my teammates run the play, clap for them and help keep focus

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

It's challenging when you join new teams. I have been playing basketball since 2nd grade, competing since 4th. Going to my first AAU team was tough because we were not good and I was asked to "lead" the team at 10 and I didn't really know what that meant at that age. I've been the star player and I've been a role player. This has taught me a lot.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play at the highest level in D1 top level colleges.
