About Martez

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Very shift guard who controls the pace of the game. Can score from all three levels. Very well on ball defense for 84 feet of the floor. NBA player I'm often compared to is Gary Payton/Stephan Marbury mix.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a very extreme hard worker, I have to be. People has always doubted me due to my size and I've always risen to the top. My second years starting PG in the Detroit Catholic League and made ALL-Catholic both years.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes I have been on the Principal deans list since my ninth grade year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm a leader of men and truly believe you can lead in multiple was. I'm a vocal leader, lead by example, encourager and most of all I'm very passionate with everything that I do. Teamwork comes from morning weight room and doesn't stop until well all go to bed, being an awesome teammate comes with doing the little things such as helping a teammate understand classwork not just showing.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have been jumping from house to house as my mother and father were looking for our home for two years. During this time I never allowed myself to get down even though that in it's self was hard to do. As a point guard I have to be able to stand through the storm, my team is relying on me.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college that's open to given my as chance to become a student-athlete on the next level.
