Expert Analysis
Eric James | Prep Hoops Scout
Byers is an intriguing young prospect whose defensive ability immediately stands out. After limited playing time last season, he appears ready for a larger role.
Indiana’s coaching staff spoke highly of his defensive effort. His performance showed why. Byers displayed the ability to pressure opposing ball handlers the full 94 feet.
His offensive game remains a work in progress. However, his defensive intensity and competitiveness provide a strong foundation. As his offensive skills improve, Byers could develop into an important contributor for Indiana.
